Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen brought a cascade of feathers and ruffles to the runway on Tuesday for the Ready to wear Spring/Summer 2012 show. Full of femininity but also still edgy and dark creative director Sarah Burton presented a show-stopper mixing tradition with darkness. Full of flirty skirts, high collars and armor-like bodices this was THE show to see in Paris.

It would not have been an Alexander McQueen show without a little dark twist, as you can see by the photos the models wore form-fitting “death” masks. There were small parts that if you looked too quickly you would miss it, like a glimpse of a harness at the back of a garment; an aggressive note that was used in the Fall 2011 collection as well.
