From the Treadmill to the Runway

Everyone’s going shoe crazy… running shoes that is, And no I’m not talking about the absolutely fabulous Isabel Marant wedges that have probably not only me but everyone is falling in love with. I am talking about specific types of running shoes for example cross trainers (you know shoes used to walk or run or match you outfit at the gym so you can look fashionable and work out at the same time).

This trend made its way up about last month photo blogger for Style.com tagged dapper boys wearing nike and new balance in Paris and Milan. Similar looks started popping up at Salvatore Ferragamo, Raf Simons, and Valentino men’s wear runway shows. Ladies are also embarking on this fashion journey. At the opening of Yayoi Kusama’s Whitney retrospective, the artist Kara Walker dressed down her Zero + Maria Cornejo dress with sporty sneaks, while Vika Gazinskaya was among those who wore them during Couture.
