London’s Design Museum has dedicated a whole exhibit to Mr. Louboutin’s craftsmanship. Girls, prepare to swoon over the shoes that make the world go round! I think I just mite have to be placing a new order a pair very soon!

I had the honor and privilege to work hands on with Jerome C. Rousseau for a few months as his intern last year. Let me tell you, not only is this guy a genius to his trade/dedicated, but he is also extremely humble. The Canada native who studied/worked in London for over 10 years had showed me throughout the months how he didn’t care for anything but his love for design. Some days we would be rushing to ship out some heels to celebrity clients for shoots or spend a day going over the process of shoe design. Now don’t think for a second it was anything average, Jerome has his shoes handcrafted in Italy that he travels oversees through the process. This was very exciting for me, I love design but to venture off and learn shoe design, especially from a true artist was spectacular.

Jerome first launched his collection in the Fall 0f 2008 and since  have been featured in publications such as Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Style.com and other publications worldwide. Celebrities wearing the label include Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz, Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Stewart, Katie Holmes, Drew Barrymore, January Jones, Olivia Wilde, Nicole Richie and others.

Working with Jerome was quite the experience from his talking bird, drinking Welches Grape Juice all day (his favorite) and shoes scattered everywhere! I must admit, this has been the best internship experience you can get!

After working with Jerome it wasn’t the design or business aspect that I felt I took in the most, but instead the morals he taught me. He sticks by his word, is very passionate and works endless hours to deliver the best possible product he can.

Everyone can learn a thing or two from this guy!
