The 2013 Cannes Film Festival has yet another spectacular fashion show for charity planned. In honor of the 20^th anniversary of amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS gala: LoveGold, the ultimate gold collection fashion show, curated by Carine Roitfeld. While last year’s theme was all black, this year’s opulent theme was inspired by the late Elizabeth Taylor, who was amfAR’s founding international chairman. “I picked the gold theme because gold is extraordinary. Since it’s the 20^th year of this event, I thought people should walk away with an incredible memory,” Roitfeld told WWD. “For me, this is really a tribute to Elizabeth Taylor. When you think of her in Cleopatra, you have this very powerful image of gold and beauty.”

The event will be held on Thursday, May 23^rd, 2013 at the famous Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes

Designers slated to participate include-

Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Prada, Givenchy, Lanvin, Alexander Wang, Versace, Christian Dior, Marchesa and. Giorgio Armani

This week I attended the Paris Christian Dior Menswear show and Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture For his fall 2012 couture collection. I was obsessing over both collections. Gaultier was supposedly inspired by the work of poet Alfred deMusset. The story is of a man who loves a women who dresses like a man. This influence resulted in a collection of androgynous ensembles featuring top hats, tuxedo jackets, lush furs, art-deco inspired prints and sheer chiffons. Took an image with my I-Phone below.

Sorbet, oh I love it. I’m not even talking about the ice cream! First seen at Chanel then cemented by Louis Vuitton as a major trend for 2012, it’s girly, it’s sugary, it’s beautiful and it’s taking over the fashion world. This trend is a lot quieter than last year’s Trend: ‘colour blocking’, yet it’s still a bit more interesting than minimalism, it is undoubtedly a breath of fresh air for fashionista’s wardrobe’s worldwide.

Seen on flowy gowns for Dior, structured blazers for Givenchy and office appropriate pencil skirts at Jil Sander this palette is meant for every occasion. My personal favorite is the classic blouse by Chanel worn with a ballerina type skirt. You can wear these with countless other pieces. The other exciting thing about the sorbet colour palette is that there are endless combinations for outfits! Appropriate for any occasion. These sorbet colours even go well with each other! Just imagine this: a bright baby pink blouse with mint green pants, or a sky blue blazer with a yellow sherbet skirt.  There are so many combinations that my closet is begging me to buy one piece of every colour, I am not sure how my bank account will feel about this; but I will definitely be right on trend!

You’ve probably seen her starring in the French house’s Very Irresistible fragrance ads, but now Tyler can be seen promoting Givenchy’s makeup campaigns, including for its Démesure Audacious Lashes mascara.

I’ve always been a fan of this doll, she is a piece of work (in a good way) I’m interested in what her future holds.
