Obsessing over the Carlos Luna Spring/Summer 2013 collection during NYFW.  Inspired by creatures of the sea, Carlos embodied a mixed color pallet of blues, greens and golds to embody themes of the sea. The fine tailoring, leather applications and attention to detail brought life to the garments.

When one first gets his first Marc Jacob’s invite to his fashion show it’s quite a moment. It took over my site a little over a year to start getting invites to his show, which is pretty young for a blogger. I arrived extra early to go backstage and get some rad shots. Sorry about the quality of images (third row shots).
The collection had the original Marc Jacobs style grunge presentation with dark hues, military style cuts/pants, floral printed dresses and velvets. It reminded me of a mix of pilgrims in couture in the army. Basically how I dress everyday. My personal favorite was the men’s metallic style trench coats.

I couldn’t believe how amazing this show was! The collection was full of the usual Michael Kors signatures: chunky cable-knit sweaters, cross body bags, preppy plaids, gorgeous gowns and voluminous furs. Kors represented American Fashion in such a luxurious way last week. It has a sporty American vibe mixed with some Hollywood old glamour.
I even ran into my old friend Jessica Alba who I worked with last year on a few photoshoots!
