Keeping up with Kendall

Kendall-Jenners-Fashions-Night-Out-ad--682091034803487097

Keeping up with the Kardashians, it should be changed to Keeping up with Kendall. The cover girl of seventeen magazine is now the new face of Fashions Night Out LA. August 1st was when the campaign was released to the masses and Kendall started popping up on billboards all over Los Angeles. Posing in a giant shoebox, she showed us all that she is a true Kardashian promoting Fashions Night Out which is at the Beverly Center this year.

This seasons Fashions are some of the best yet color wise and you can tell that from the tangerine Georges Chakra gown Ms. Jenner is sporting in the campaign. This year’s Fashion Night Out will fall on September 6th and I don’t know about you but from looking at this campaign this is one Kardashian that I am defiantly keeping up with!

FNO 2012 Approved

FASHIONNIGHTOUT

Fashion’s Night Out, one of the industries most anticipated nights, has been approved for its fourth year!

After FNO 2011 there were some speculations about it being the last. Industry professionals complained about it being too much work planning the event on top of planning Fashion Week. Some retailers were even dropping out of FNO because they felt they were spending more money on making their store appealing for customers than they were actually bringing in at the end of the night. Customers would come into the store to enjoy the celebrity appearances and free drinks and food, but they didn’t actually buy things.

Although these are still concerns for industry professionals and retailers, Vogue has approved to sponsor the event another year in efforts to continue to help generate more business for retailers during this economic recession.

The official date for FNO 2012 depends on the date set for New York Fashion Week since FNO usually happens on the first or second night of NYFW.

Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s

Karl_Lagerfeld_Macys 1

We have all been waiting for a peek of Karl Lagerfeld’s collection for Macy’s, and Fashion Munster has it! In the photo above, model Deborah Ann Woll models a piece from the collection.

“To me Macy’s is the perfect department store in the US where everybody can find what they’re looking for without ruining their budget. That’s why I am happy to make this limited collection just for Macy’s,” Lagerfeld said in a release.

The collection is set to debut on August 31st, and the pieces will be priced from $50-$170.

The pieces look retro, which is fantastic since 70’s fashion is making a comeback!

Macy’s recently released some sketches of the designs, and it has been rumored that Karl will be making an appearance at Macy’s Herald Square in “early September”.

Be sure to get to Macy’s fast if you want a piece of affordable Lagerfeld; it is bound to sell out quickly!

Gwyneth Paltrow for Coach

Gwyneth Paltrow for Coach_FashionMunster_com 2

Everyone has been awaiting for these Coach ads with the one and only Gwyneth Paltrow.  The ads are not fancy by any means, and they scream “Classic American”.

Make sure to take a long look at these ads because it has been reported that they will only be released in International issues of Vogue, Vanity Fair, InStyle and Harper’s Bazaar.  They will not be released to the American audience (unless you buy the international magazines of course).

Vogue’s #AllBlackEverything.

vogue

So I guess Jay-Z wasn’t the only one who decided to put out the ALL BLACK EVERYTHING trend. Apparently Italian Vogue is in a venture to trend out a possible controversial magazine since the July 2008 issue. This feature is an all black editorial called “The Black Allure,” Thoughts!? Emma Summerton, British photographer shot the editorial along with styled by Edward Enninful. Models include Joan Smalls, Arlenis Sosa and Chanel Iman. I think the idea of embracing races in their pure beauty is amazing. I don’t think it’s wrong to do something like this at all, what is the big deal?! At the end of the day we are all the same and beauty is beauty! Thoughts?
